ScrutinyReady

Bank statement to Tally, without retyping

TallyPrime can import bank statements, but only from the Excel or CSV file your bank's portal gives you, not from a PDF. When a client sends a PDF, ScrutinyReady turns it into clean, balance-checked data you can work with.

Convert a statement

Processed in memory and never stored. Your file name and password are never saved.

Where the time really goes

Typing entries is only half the work. The other half is deciding which ledger each entry belongs to, and checking that nothing is missing. A PDF that hasn't been converted properly makes both jobs harder.

ScrutinyReady gives you every transaction as a clean row with the balance checked, so you start from data you can trust.

How the Tally export works

Every bank row becomes a voucher: money out is a Payment, money in is a Receipt, and cash withdrawals and deposits are Contra entries with your Cash ledger. You type the name of the bank ledger exactly as it is in your Tally company, and the other side goes to Suspense A/c, which exists in every company, so the file imports cleanly.

If you tick "create party ledgers", the party names we pick out of UPI, NEFT and IMPS narrations become ledgers under the Suspense A/c group, and each entry posts to its party. You then move those ledgers to Sundry Debtors, Sundry Creditors or the right expense group.

The Tally export is in beta: import into a backup company first and check the totals against the statement.

Coming soon

Ledger mapping that remembers each client's choices from month to month, scanned statements, and bulk upload for firms.

Built for CA firms and accountants

Every conversion comes with a review report: days with ₹2 lakh or more in cash deposits, yearly cash deposits and withdrawals near the SFT and Section 194N levels, bounced cheques and NACH returns, and GST and TDS payments, each with its row numbers. It's for your review, based on narration patterns, not a conclusion.

Questions

Can TallyPrime import a PDF bank statement directly?

No. Tally's bank statement import works with files downloaded from the bank's portal, such as Excel, CSV or MT940. For PDFs, convert them first.

Which Tally versions does the XML work with?

It uses Tally's standard XML import format for TallyPrime. It's in beta, so import into a backup company first and check the totals.

Do you keep my bank statement?

No. Your PDF is read in memory on servers in India and the extracted rows are sent straight back to your browser. Nothing is saved on our side: no file, no transactions, no password.

What happens if the balances don't add up?

We check every row: the previous balance plus deposits minus withdrawals must equal the balance printed on that row. If anything doesn't match, we show a warning with the row numbers instead of quietly giving you wrong data.
