ScrutinyReady

Convert your HDFC Bank statement to Excel

Upload an HDFC statement PDF and download a clean Excel or CSV file with date, narration, reference number, withdrawal, deposit and balance in separate columns. Every row is checked against the running balance, so you know the data is right before you use it.

Why converting an HDFC statement by hand is slow

A busy HDFC account can run to hundreds of transactions a month. Copying them from a PDF into Excel means fixing merged cells, split narrations and amounts that paste as text. One wrong digit throws off every balance after it, and you only find out at the end.

ScrutinyReady reads the transaction table directly, joins narrations that wrap onto two lines, converts amounts written the Indian way (1,00,000.00) into real numbers, and writes dates in a format Excel understands.

What you get in the Excel file

One row per transaction with Date, Narration, Cheque/Reference number, Withdrawal, Deposit, a signed Amount column (withdrawals negative) and Balance. Numbers are stored as numbers, so totals, filters and pivot tables work straight away.

A second sheet called Check shows the opening balance, closing balance, the balance we calculated from the transactions, and whether they match.

HDFC Bank statements with long UPI narrations

UPI-heavy accounts produce narrations that wrap across several lines. ScrutinyReady joins them back into one cell, so each transaction is exactly one row in Excel. Our dedicated HDFC reader is being tuned on real statements; until then HDFC files are labelled "best effort" and the balance check confirms every row.

Your data stays private

Statements are processed in memory on servers in India and nothing is saved. The rows come back to your browser, and the Excel file is built from what your browser sends back. We never see your file name, and we never store your PDF password.

Questions

Can I convert an HDFC statement that is several months long?

Yes. Upload the full PDF, up to 20 MB. We read the transaction table across every page and check the running balance from the first row to the last.

Do you keep my bank statement?

No. Your PDF is read in memory on servers in India and the extracted rows are sent straight back to your browser. Nothing is saved on our side: no file, no transactions, no password.

What happens if the balances don't add up?

We check every row: the previous balance plus deposits minus withdrawals must equal the balance printed on that row. If anything doesn't match, we show a warning with the row numbers instead of quietly giving you wrong data.
